I think this photo has good shadows because you can see the lines from her hat are also on her face. I think that the photo is in black and white emphasizes that. In the photo it looks like she’s surrounded by shadows because she has lines on her hat and top. This picture has a lot of contrast because it’s in black and white. The light showing on her body also emphasizes those shadows. Since this picture has shadows it also has depth. The angle this picture was taken from is the reason we can see the shadows so well. The shadow is kind of shot like the subject because its on her body and face. I think the shadow helps define her face more. Having shadows in this photo makes it look more dramatic.

This shows great texture because you can see all the details in the lines. The light is showing in the back and it highlights all the details about the picture. In the picture you can see little rocks on the floor and this picture does a good job of showing it. Its texture is so nice you can kind of imagine how it would feel to walk on the floor. The way this was edited probably helped the picture look so textured. Since that light is there it makes the picture feel more alive.

A photograph’s exposure determines how light or dark an image will appear when it’s been captured by your camera. This is determined by just three camera settings: aperture, ISO and shutter speed. Aperture: controls the area over which light can enter your camera
Shutter speed: controls the duration of the exposure
ISO speed: controls the sensitivity of your camera’s sensor to a given amount of light.
